Digital infrastructure, new standalone Vertiv company

Following the sale to Platinum Equity last December 1st, Emerson Network Power rebrands as Vertiv, standalone company aimed to support customer’s evolving needs in digital infrastructure. Veteran technology executive Rob Johnson has been appointed ceo, and the transaction, valued in excess of $ 4 billion, begins a new era focused on speed, technology, and growth with added flexibility to serve expanding markets for cloud computing and mobile and IoT networking. Vertiv is a global provider of mission-critical infrastructure technologies for vital applications in data centers, communication networks and commercial and industrial environments.

Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio (USA), the company has more than 20.000 employees and more than 25 manufacturing and assembly facilities worldwide. As an independent company, Vertiv will operate with great freedom to make business strategy and investment decisions, move more quickly like a startup and focus on innovative solutions for costumers. Vertiv will build on the broad portfolio and service offerings for power, thermal and IT management capabilities it previously offered as Emerson Network Power. The company will benefit in the short and long term from Platinum Equity’s M&A and operational resources, that will provide support to its growth and product innovation, both organically and through prospective add-on acquisitions.
