BIG Kaiser strengthens its custom tools portfolio for high-precision tooling systems in order to better meet customers specific application requirements. The company is committed to provide a boosted custom tool service, and custom tools are perfectly compatible with its existing catalogue, listing more than 7.000 products, meaning that combining custom and regular tools is both straightforward and flexible. “With our high-quality, fully customized tools and sales network that provides assistance to our customers – explains Peter Elmer, ceo at BIG Kaiser -, we ensure to deliver the best possible all-round service”. Typical example of custom tools can be a boring tool with a non-standard angle, or a tool combination such as a pin turning tool with fine tuning for a specific application.

Custom tools in BIG kaiser are realized in the company’s Custom tool division, a part of the r&d department and located in the prototype production area. A dedicated three-person technical team is dedicated to the production of custom tools, which are produced within three weeks of an order being placed. Custom parts are manufactured using the same machines employed on the main production line, ensuring the same high levels of quality and reliability of the standard products. This also include a DMU 50 CNC universal milling machine, which runs independently of the standard production processes to ensure that custom tool production is not impacted by any issues on the main line.
