Couplings Mayr for high seas
Mayr presents the compact and high performance Roba-DS disk pack couplings, certified by DNV GL to ensure maximum operational and functional safety for users on the high seas. Mayr developed robust, reliable and temperature-resistant spring steel disk pack coupling, particularly suitable for use in extreme environmental conditions at sea. Being wear-free, they reduce the maintenance effort required to a minimum, and the all-steel couplings are available up to construction size 2.200.
The DNV GL certified high quality and reliability ensure that nominal torques stated in the catalogue can be utilised without any limitations, transmitting torques absolutely backlash-free and with consistently high torsional rigidity. Reduction of nominal torque due to misalignment, overall load configuration or balancing requirements is not necessary, and the shaft misalignments stated can be utilised to 100%, without influencing the transmitted torque. The Mayr disk pack couplings compensate radial, axial and angular misalignments of shafts, protecting the bearings against undesired loads, unnecessary downtimes and costs, and feature a high performance density and small dimensions, ideal for little installation space available in ship engines.
