Haimer and DMG Mori strengthen their cooperation with the acquisition by Haimer of the DMG Mori’s Microset tooling presetter operation, re-named Haimer Microset since January 1st, 2017, and becoming in addition a DMG Mori Premium Partner. Haimer Mircoset tool presetting technology complements the toolholder specialist existing portfolio of high precision tooling, shrinking and balancing technology, becoming a system provider for tool management around machine tools.
“Since the company location of Haimer Microset, with about 35 employees, will remain in Bielefeld, Germany, this will be our second Haimer production site, including our main headquarter in Igenhausen” said Claudia Haimer, ceo Haimer (in photo with, from left, Maurice Eschweiler, member of the board DMG Mori AG, Christian Thönes, chairman DMG Mori AG, and Andreas Haimer, managing director and president Haimer Group). The Bielefeld facility will be further expanded to become Haimer’s Northern Germany sales and marketing hub, looking forward to a long-term development together with the employees in Bielefeld and the intensified partnership with DMG Mori.
According to the Premium Partner cooperation agreement, DMG Mori will purchase all products related to tool presetting, balancing and shrinking, including shrink-fit holders and tool rooms, exclusively from Haimer. All DMG Mori technology solution centers and production plants worldwide will be equipped with Haimer products.
