Delo-Duopox AB8390 is a two-component flame-retardant construction adhesive for aircraft interiors, especially suited for bonding of light-weight sandwich panels. The two-component adhesive, actually used by the aerospace tier-1 supplier Facc in Austria for the adhesive bonding of overhead stowage compartments, offers a good resistance in the temperature range from -55° to +85°, is colorfast in white with robust color result not yellowing, as proved in a storage test during a time period of 1.000 hours at +70°C and air humidity of 85%.

Delo-Duopox AB8390 fulfills, among others, the requirements regarding fire protection (FST, flammability, smoke density and toxicity), according to CS/FAR part 25, §25.853 (a)(1)(ii)/(d) and ABD0031. The thixotropic epoxy resin can be easily and quickly applied, just like a one-component adhesive, thanks to the Delo-Automix dispensing system, with a processing time of 30 minutes that also allows a rework of the component. The adhesive cures completely at room temperature, with the possibility to accelerate cycle times in production using higher temperatures, e. g. 60° C, to accelerate the curing process.
