Commercial vehicles engines, Aventics acquires VHtekERT

Aventics announced the acquisition of Vector Horizon Technology (VHtek), a USA based company specialized in clean energy systems with a focus on emission control systems and advanced mechatronic devices, primarily for the truck industry and medium and large engines applications.

By increasing its portfolio with VHtek products for the electric actuators market, Aventics expands its business beyond pneumatics, strengthening its presence in the commercial vehicles sector, offering both pneumatic and electronic systems and components in response to customer demands. VHtek is based in Bowling Green, Kentucky, located in the Center for research and development of the Western Kentucky University, which reflects the smart and entrepreneurial spirit of the company. The business of VHtek is defined as the management of design, research, development and prototyping of products and applications around electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic actuation, for application on medium and large engines.

This business and technology will support further development of Aventic’s commercial vehicle sector, complementing its existing portfolio to better meet the increase in global demand for energy-efficient products. In addition, VHtek technologies and the increased r&d capacities provided by the owners and employees of VHtek will further benefit Aventics core sectors such as industrial automation, life sciences, energy, food & beverage and railway technologies.
