Spring 2016 has been busy for Hass CNC education program in Europe, with a total of seven new facilities Htec opened, a Htec conference in Finland and the Htec Skills Challenge in Portugal. Haas opened three Htec in Poland, taking to 19 the total number of Htec facilities in the country, a project presided over by Haas Factory Outlet-Poland, a division of Abplanalp, Haas distributor. The HFO Poland is now planning to open 10 additional Htec schools by 2020, and further three every year thereafter. Other Htec facilities opened in Lithuania, Belarus, Russia and Germany.
In Finland came together 40 delegates with a passion for CNC education for the country’s first Htec conference, promoting collaboration and share of best practices in CNC education between teachers. The 2nd edition of the Htec Skills Challenge in Portugal has been won by the student Tiago Duarte da Conceição, commended for the fine finishes and tight tolerances of his machined component. New openings are now planned in 2016, in Spain, Belgium, Norway and Portugal, with also the possibility of Ukraine and Poland, and other activities include national conferences in Sweden (17-18 August), Portugal (24-25 October), Benelux (14-15 December) and Belarus, in addition to an international Htec conference to take place in Nantes, France, on 18-19 October.
