software CAD CAM v 4.0 R3 Tebis

Tebis made available the Version 4.0 release 3 of its CAD CAM software, with a more informative user interface, to support more intuitive and quick operation. Toolbar and menu panels can be easily docked to the edge of the application window, and a new project dialog with the most recently used files is displayed immediately after the program is started.

The release 3 of Tebis also improves the display of wire-frame models and isolines, making the view of the component on the screen more clear. The colors of the models can be adjusted independently of the surface color. Many of the new functions allow a more efficient use of time: the software automatically breaks up assemblies and complex files with many manufactured parts into multiple individual files, allowing immediate access to the corresponding component. Active surfaces can be designed more quickly, and the software can flatten positive radii, preventing any contact in the special areas between the sheet metal and the die in the press. The reverse engineering and surface modeling have also been optimized, with support of symmetrical areas when generating surfaces with constant curvature.

Also reliability in NC programs has been improved, with an extended list with known machine conflicts integrated in the CAD CAM software, and a more efficient NC automation of 2.5D drilling and milling, as the processing sequence in feature-based NC programming can now be more easily influenced by feature groups. A new incorporated function calculates the best 5-axis toolpath for engraving texts, logos and numbers, projected on the component geometry, and finally the user can shorten cycle times by roughly 30% in laser cutting and trimming.
