Cabinet wiring easier with Eplan

Eplan presented at Hannover Messe the Smart Wiring Application, a software aimed to simplify control cabinet wiring. The software visualizes the wiring providing the necessary wiring informations and engineering data for mounting assembly within the control cabinet, no longer requiring error-prone schematic-based wiring process. Smart Wiring Application generates a digital representation referring to the virtual model’s 3D-layout in Eplan Pro Panel, but it can be used also without a 3D layout, for example using Excel lists with all required connection informations.

The software provides the step-by-step execution, with clear informations about how far along the wiring process is as a whole and what still remains to be wired. During the process, each wiring step completed is shown in traffic-light-principle green, allowing several shifts to complete the work and multiple colleagues to start wiring exactly where the process was left off by predecessors. The applications also handles the project comparison, also registering last-minute changes, comparing different project statuses and documenting all the differences, saving enormous amounts of time as compared to doing it manually, speeding up the process and not requiring specialist knowledge anymore. Smart Wiring Application will be available with the release of Eplan Platform 2.6 in September 2016.
