The 2016 edition of the italian machine tool exhibition 30.BI-MU scored in february a record of submissions, increased by 30% based on the same period of the last edition. To be held in Milan, from tuesday, October 4th to saturday 8th, the biennial event reflects the positive trend in the italian demand of machine tools, that reached 3.595 millions euro, +31,3% compared to the previous year. A growth that, according to Centro studi Ucimu (italian’s machine tool, robots, automation systems and ancillary products manufacturer’s association), led the deliveries of italians constructors at a value of 1.920 millions, +21%, and imports at 1.675 millions, +45,5%.
Organized by Ucimu and Efim – Ente fiere italiane macchine, the event follows the success of last year’s edition of EMO Milan, expecting big results, even due to new huge fiscal facilitations offered by the italian government in the Financial law 2016, aimed to support new machines purchases made by italian companies between October 15th, 2015 and December 31st 2016. BI-MU 2016 will also offer some novelty, as the special area Fluid Power, promoted by Assofluid, the italian association of oil-hydraulics and pneumatics manufacturing and trading companies, and the Sfortec Industry exhibition, held in conjunction from October 6 to 8, for the first year expanding its technological repertoire to the whole manufacturing industry, not only the machine tool sector.
