Galucho, an important agricultural machinery manufacturer in Portugal and Spain, approved the Agri Disc Hub bearing units NSK to fit in the company’s disc harrows, after two years of testing on 700 hectares of land near Seville. The Agri Disc Hub is a robust unit for disc harrows that meets agriculture’s requirements for greater productivity, reduced costs and environmental protection.

The NSK units are able to operate in tough conditions faced by machinery used in farms, working in all kinds of hard, dry and abrasive terrain, in constant exposure to dirt, damp, vibrations and impacts. The units comprise double-row angular contact ball bearings, capable to support very high axial and radial loads, such as in case of sudden impact caused by stones in the earth. A highly efficient and optimized sealing system stops abrasive dust and humidity from getting inside the bearing, even if the machinery comes in contact with manure or high-pressure water jets, during cleaning. Agri Disc Hub bearings at last do not require additional lubrication, thus protecting the environment avoiding the risk for grease to drip on to the ground.
