Agreement between Siemens and Autodesk

Posted 3 May 2016

Autodesk and Siemens announced an agreement aimed to increase software interoperability to reduce manufacturer’s costs. The partnership will allow relevant improvements to Autodesk and Siemens’ product lifecycle management (PLM) software business, existing yet many situations with a combination of their software in final users, including multi-CAD environments both internally between departments or externally with partners and supply chains.

Both companies will then share toolkit technology and exchange end-user software applications, to build and market interoperable products, streamlining data sharing and reducing costs in organizations with multi-CAD environments. Creating an increasingly open environment will provide the necessary flexibility to customers using a mix of products, reducing product costs by facilitating collaboration throughout modern extended enterprises.
