NSK launched its complete bearing care pack added value programme AIP+, based on a quartet of innovative maintenance and service tools developed to help maximize machine performance and operating life. The Condition Monitoring Service (CMS) is a comprehensive health check for operational machinery, using NSK vibration, temperature and speed measuring equipment for data collection and data analysis, providing a full reporting including recommended actions.

The equipment is able to identify any unwanted forces, such as those resulting from out-of-alignment or out-of-balance conditions, as well as issues relating to lack of lubrication or the potential for early fatigue. The programme then includes the NSK’s selection of bearing mounting tools, designed to ensure correct handling and fitting of the bearings, both on to a shaft and into a housing. If required, a package including training on how to achieve best practice fitting and removal can be offered. The AIP+ portfolio is completed by laser alignment, designed to minimize losses and ensuring that the machine gives optimum performance with the lowest energy, and lubrication solutions, essential for extended bearing and machinery lifetime, ensuring important savings in maintenance budgets as part of a structured and proven process.
