IoT and connectivity enhanced with PTC
ThingWorx 7 of PTC is the latest release of the company’s Internet of things (IoT) platform offering an enhanced set of tools for managing connected products, powerful analytics capabilities and support of public clouds. The solutions simplifies and accelerates the development and time-to-market of IoT products: ThingWorx Utilities, formerly ThingWorx Converge, enables to build custom dashboards to visualize the status and performances of connected products, while a customizable interface offers visibility to alerts for all connected products making it easier to identify malfunctioning.
Remote access and control allow to perform actions such as troubleshooting problems, providing operator assistance and performing training, and the software content management provides a reliable, simple and secure mass distribution of digital content, such as operating system and application updates and software patches. The support to public clouds, such as Amazon Web Services, allows to connect devices, send data to and from a device, enabling enterprises to select their preferred combination of optimal components from cloud providers and ThingWorx. At last, ThingWorx 7 increased and strengthened the data generated and analyzed from connected devices, and adds modern platform components to make easier for developers to build applications for connected products, offering an environment to quickly prototype and experiment with IoT solutions.
