Expo Ferroviaria 2016 is opening its doors at the Lingotto Fiere in Turin, Italy, from April 5th to 7th, preparing a very interesting edition due to the strong investments actually happening in the railway sector, both at national and international levels. Among them, the 24 billion euro provided by Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato for the four-year period 2014-2017, the progress made on the New Turin-Lyon Rail Line, the construction site for the Brenner Base Tunnel and the growth of italian independent railways, as well as projects for underground and light underground railway systems in the main italian cities.

An expanding perspective moving relevant resources in the mobility-related industry: 200 exhibitors were already confirmed since last January, coming from 16 Countries, and 40 companies making their debut at this year’s edition, organised by Mack Brooks Exhibitions, a rail industry trade fairs specialist that organises also regular exhibitions including Sifer in Lille, Railtex and Infrarail, both in the UK, and Exporail in Moscow. The exhibition area will run through pavillions 1 and 2 of Lingotto Fiere, with the Infrastructure area and the Tracks area allowing exhibitors to present rail tracks maintenance equipment in an authentic setting. The 2014 edition of Expo Ferroviaria was visited by 6.400 persons, and the 2016 edition will as well include a packed programme of conferences, seminars, technical visits, B2B and presentations by the exhibitors.
