Ceratizit acquires Klenk

Ceratizit has concluded an agreement for the acquisition of Klenk, German manufacturer of rotary tools carbide. The operation is part of an overall strategy of acquisitions intended to supplement the product portfolio of Ceratizit Group, with the aim to act as first level supplier for all kinds of utensils removal. The entrance of the Klenk Group also accelerates growth in the aerospace, automotive and medical technology, in which Klenk is particularly present. "Klenk is mainly specialized in aerospace - says Thierry Wolter, for Ceratizit Group -, so this acquisition involves investment in a new know-how to a growing global market." It is estimated that air traffic will double in the next 15 years, requiring new solutions efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft to replace obsolete. Klenk brand will be retained, and the company will benefit from the global presence of Ceratizit, could also stock up for the production of pellets and raw from brand unisettoriale Toolmaker Solutions by Ceratizit.
