Okuma presents the Servonavi application, aimed to increase accuracy in machining operations, available for almost all of the manufacturer’s machining centers, lathes and multitasking machines. The solution, part of Okuma’s line of Intelligent Technology, provides automatic and real time adjustment of machine’s settings to the conditions of each individual job. The Working weight auto setting function optimizes acceleration speeds according to the actual weight of the workpiece and the fixture, achieving shorter cycle times without compromising machining accuracy.

Reversal spike auto adjustment compensates for slide load variations, counteracting the effects of wear and tear in machines after years of use, in order to ensure highest possible level of surface quality, that can also be affected by vibration levels increase, a nuisance effect eliminated by the Vibration auto adjustment. The Auto inertia setting finally reduces positioning errors, due to chucks or workpieces changes and associated inertia mass, ensuring high accuracy and stable movements, preventing oscillation.
