Bonfiglioli and Carraro agreement
Bonfiglioli acquires 55% and control of german O&K Antriebstechnik, owned by Carraro Group (in photo, Enrico Carraro, Carraro Group’s president, and Sonia Bonfiglioli, chairman of Bonfiglioli Riduttori) and specialized in the design and manufacture of planetary gears for high power machines and crawler cranes. According to the agreement, signed for an amount of 25,7 million euros, Carraro remains in the company with 45%, maintaining a strategic role as a key partner in the delivery of specific components.
The Carraro Group will also be able to further concentrate on developing innovative products, especially transmissions designed for agricultural and construction equipment. “This is the second important agreement signed between our Group and another major industrial italian company in just one year – says Sonia Bonfiglioli -. The partnership with Carraro is targeted at completing our product range with applications on high power machines, such as earth moving, construction and mining machines, as well as machines for the marine, port and airport sectors”.
