Ansys releases updated versions of SpaceClain and Ansys Fensap, enhancing speed, efficiency and reliability  in aerospace simulation tools. SpaceClaim improves models pre-processing phase, empowering users to quickly and easily manipulate 3D models coming from other CAD softwares. The simulation solution delivers 10-time faster 3D modeling compared to others on the market, with improved solving for creating design, editing and cleaning while working with complex geometry, and new tools like Shrinkwrap and Skin Surface to decrease time for reverse-engineering parts or to prepare models for 3D printing.

Also start-up times, large models save and load stages have been improved, and some tools, such as imprint, result in increased times speed. Here’s the detail of the new features. In addition, the release of Fensap-Ice and Fensap-Ice Turbo provides improved integration with Ansys CFX software, allowing design optimization and safety improvements, by more accurately predicting ice formation in jet engines.
