Federico Viganò appointed managing director of Segula Technologies Italy
Segula Technologies, a global engineering group, has appointed Federico Viganò as managing director of its Italian subsidiary, with the aim of accelerating the company’s positioning in the high-end segment.
Federico Viganò will be responsible for developing and strengthening the Group’s business lines in Italy, with particularly ambitious growth prospects in the medium term. Viganò, who has significant experience abroad, brings to Segula Italy solid skills and in-depth experience in the engineering and design sector, which will strengthen the consultancy and services offered to customers and increase business opportunities in Italy.
In the past, Federico Viganò served first as CEO of Segula China and later as CEO of Technicon Design worldwide, a renowned design house with major projects in the transportation, naval, aerospace, luxury and industrial design sectors. He joined Segula Technologies in 2017 and previously served as general manager of Pininfarina China, leading the group in defining a new business model. During his experience, he developed excellent knowledge and relationships with local manufacturing companies operating in the electric vehicle industry, delving into the most innovative tools and technologies that are revolutionising the automotive market.
“I am excited to return to Italy and support our local clients towards new levels of transformation that look even more towards globalisation – Federico Viganò emphasises -. In particular, the automotive sector is experiencing a moment of true evolution and Italian brands, now placed in an international context, must be ready to face it with high skills and expertise.”
With 300 employees in Italy, Segula Technologies has a well-established presence on the domestic market, particularly in the field of software systems and mechanics. The Group operates in support of the most important realities of the Italian industrial and manufacturing system and beyond. Its sectors of specialisation are mainly automotive, energy, rail, aerospace, defence and naval, to which the medical sector has recently been added.
Speed in responding to customer needs, physical proximity, and significant investment in research and development are the characteristics that differentiate Segula Technologies from the competition and that drive the group’s success globally, and in individual countries.
“The Italian market is characterised by its variegated and complex structure, with the presence of numerous realities of excellence that look beyond their borders with ambition – adds Viganò -. The same ambition that has led us to set the goal of doubling turnover and the number of company resources within the next three years. My commitment will be dedicated to achieving these goals, putting my skills at the service of the company”.
