Full electric industrial loader Dolomitech with Moog technology

Thanks to the partnership with Moog, Dolomitech, an Italian engineering company headquartered in Trento, has developed an industrial full electric loader for short-range handling in iron and steel areas and plants.

The machine weighs 50 tons, it can lift up to 3 tons of materials and is equipped with an arm that reaches 18 m of extension. In order to achieve a full electric approach, the company collaborated with Moog who designed a state-of-the-art system, with each loader equipped with 3 EPU, Electro-hydrostatic Motor-Pump Unit, four servomotors and 7 highly customized DR2020 servo drives, a crucial factor in order to meet the efficiency, low energy consumption and high performances requirements of the project.

The broad segment that includes excavation, material handling and transport machines is increasingly becoming a protagonist of electrically powered vehicles that join conventional ones. The successful Dolomitech case, characterized by several complexities and that achieves performances concerning mechanical, motion and electric aspects, proves that Moog technology enables the existence of battery-powered industrial machines, nowadays offering the same performances as conventional diesel systems.
