Parker Hannifin has extended its Parflex hydraulic hoses line with the ToughJacket family, featuring special Parker-formulated polyurethane jackets offering high abrasion resistance. The enhanced jackets exceed significantly the abrasion resistance and durability of rubber hoses in demanding requirements industry.

ThoughJacket hoses are compact and up to 40% lighter than competitor’s products, also offering superior UV resistance and very low change in length characteristics, thus being an ideal solution for boom or cable track applications. The very small bend radius makes the TJ hoses also ideal for applications in tight installation areas, such as mast hose for fork lift trucks and tele handler booms. The less counter weight and more payload enable to lift farther and higher.

The small O.D. makes routing easier in cable tracks, and the ability to bond the hose allows to easily pack and manage more elements per track, or even eliminate the track. The TJ hoses are available in sizes from 1/4” I.D. to 1” I.D., and Parker can also supply twin or multi-line configurations to further reduce abrasion and/or prevent tangling.

The ThoughJacket hoses series include the 560TJ, meeting SAE 100R1AT and MSHA, 590TJ, meeting MSHA and approved ABS for 1/4” through, and the 594TJ, meeting SAE 100R19 and MSHA, with 4.000 psi constant working pressure.
