It also markets a wide range of industrial filters and, as the represen- tative of the Polish company ‘Ponar Wa- dowice’, is in a position to offer a com- plete service that is extremely useful for the optimisation of costs and for appli- cations in the field of industrial automa- tion. The use of a hydropneumatic accu- mulator in oleo/hydro systems makes it possible not only to reduce pulsations, ensure the supply of energy in emer- gency conditions, compensate for dif- ferent volumes and absorb shocks, but also to improve the uniformity of systems and reduce costs. Epoll’s hydropneu- matic bladder accumulators offer so- me unique features: working pressures from 30 to 690 bar, capacities of up to 55 litres, and working temperatures of between -40 °C and +150 °C. The body of the accumulator is a receptacle ma- de of high-strength steel that meets the strictest international standards. The bladder is made of nitrile rubber, but for special uses bladders can also be made of Viton, butile, neoprene, ethy- lene-propylene, epichlorohydrin and hy- drogenated nitrile, for low-temperature hydrocarbons. All EPE Italiana’s accu- mulators can be supplied with a range of different certifications: CE/PED, Atex, Asme U-Stamp, ML (China), EAC (Rus- sia), AS 1210 (Australia), Rina, ABS, DNV, CCS, Dosh and others on request. Innovations through Research EPE Italiana’s unique approach to ma- nufacturing has always been one of its strengths, and over the years the com- pany has further developed its products, as a result of which it is able to manu- facture seamless diaphragms from a sin- gle rubber mould. Since it first went into business in the second half of the 1970s, EPE Italiana has focused on research and development in what at the time was a completely new field: compounds used to make rubber. Working in close contact with suppliers to obtain an elastomer suited to the specific production require- ments of its clients, it eventually came up with a material that combined elasticity with mechanical strength, for the manu- facture of moulded items displaying the degree of durability needed when elastic pieces are made to work over hundreds of thousands of cycles. This is another key feature of the accumulators made by the company, which is able to create particularly large diaphragms for a ran- ge of accumulators with capacities of between 0.2 litres and 50 litres. In this, it stands apart from its competitors, who - especially in the case of larger devices - cut and glue the membrane from two or three separate pieces, creating joins that are critical for the long-term viability of the accumulators. The company has also always marke- ted a wide range of industrial filters of advanced conception. The sales orga- nisation and competitive nature of the products has made it possible to achie- ve an export quota of 75% as against the 25% of domestic distribution, with a particular commercial success in Nor- thern Europe, Russia, China, Spain and in the Far East.
