Speciale Hannover Messe

32 SPECIAL HANNOVERMESS E 2023 When Costante Sesino was founded in 1919 by the Sesino brothers, it initial- ly operated in the business of repairing car grilles and radiators. In the post- war years - after various vicissitudes –its main activity was the construction of radiators for cars, trucks and trac- tors, for the spare parts market. In the mid-1950s the company decided to di- versify its activities, and was the first in Italy to manufacture air-oil and water-oil heat exchangers for the emerging flu- id power technology sector. Since the late 1960s, the company has gradual- ly abandoned the radiator market, and now operates exclusively in the field of heat exchanger systems. Over this long period of evolution, Se- sino changed its manufacturing head- quarters four times. The last move, in 2003, was to Gessate, where it now has a modern, functional plant with a covered surface area of 4,000 m². Huge investments have been made in machinery and equipment for this new plant, with more planned in the short and medium term to further boost its output of high-quality products. The new MSG 84 and 134 heat exchanger series For today’s heat exchangers, Sesino has shifted towards a more environ- mentally sustainable approach, elimi- nating all welding procedures and the consequent fumes caused by flames and fluxes, which need to be extracted away from the working environment. In addition to this, all the subsequent wa- shing procedures that generated dirty water which then needed to be treated as special waste have also been elimi- nated. This has enabled Sesino to cre- ate a cleaner, healthier environment for its workforce and to reduce environ- mental pollution to zero. The result is a state-of-the-art product that combines advanced technology with an innovati- ve design, guaranteeing maximum ef- ficiency. The process of welding the tubes to the tube sheets has been replaced by an automatic tube expansion proce- dure that ensures a high-quality cou- pling and consistency of production. 100% of the expanded tube bundles are pressure tested, as are all the fini- shed exchangers. The MSG series he- at exchangers have a removable tube bundle that is very easy to assemble and disassemble or replace with a new one. The accuracy of the mechanical processing with very close tolerances and the use of special seals has made it possible to increase thermal perfor- mance by around 10-15% on a like-for- like basis regarding size. The new MSG line is perfectly interchangeable with the old MS series. The materials that make up the new se- ries of exchangers are as follows: the tube-bundle tubes are copper, the tube sheets are hardened steel, the shell is extruded anodised aluminium, the co- vers are anodised die-cast aluminium and the seals kit is made of viton. Promotional message For the new MSG 84 and 134 heat exchangers, all welding procedures and the consequent fumes caused by flames and fluxes have been eliminated. All the subsequent washing procedures that generated dirty water to be treated as special waste have also been eliminated.
