AM in strong growth at Formnext 2017

AM and 3D printing continue their run at the Formnext 2017, scheduled from November 14 to 17 in Frankfurt. With over 20.000 sqm of booked exhibition space six months prior to the fair, this year’s third edition will surpass the size of the last year’s event. The great interest in the Formnext powered by tct event, dedicated to manufacturing technologies of the future, additive manufacturing and 3D printing, is witnessed also by the 290 registered exhibitors, that already nearly reached the number of previous year (307).

Among them, 100 companies coming from 22 countries have registered to exhibit for the first time, and the exhibitors include leading global companies in the additive manufacturing sector along with a good number of innovative young AM companies worldwide. The international fair of next generation manufacturing technologies will also present technologies and developments in other sectors such as materials, mechanical engineering, measurement technologies, post-processing and software. The conferences program for this 2017 edition will then premiere the latest developments in additive manufacturing in two parallel series of presentations, with also applications on display covering aerospace, healthcare, automotive, heavy industry and tool and form-making sectors. Two levels in Hall 3 will accomodate the show’s growth, showcasing heavier machines on the ground floor.
